I cooked them for a very special day (my sister’s birthday!) very easy and quick to prepare, these delicious puff pastries look also sophisticated and make you look good… at least I hope so! 🙂 🙂
MAKES 9 PUFF PASTRIES
READY IN 15’
INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons fresh cheese (Crescenza cheese)
2 tablespoons “pesto” that is fresh basil sauce (here the recipe)
2 potatoes
1 puff pastry sheet (better rectangular, I use Stuffer one)
All-purpose flour to taste
Parmesan cheese to taste
STEP 1: MAKE THE FILLING
In a bowl mix with a fork fresh basil sauce and fresh cheese until soft.
STEP 2: SLICE THE POTATOES
Peel the potatoes, then wash them under the water. Slice the potatoes 1-2 mm thin.
STEP 3: CUT THE PUFF PASTRY
Place on a floured pastry board the puff pastry sheet and cut it in 9 rectangles. Place the rectangles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper
STEP 4: FILLE THE RECTANGLES
Place in the centre of each rectangle a teaspoon of filling and on it three potatoes slices. Sprinkle the filled rectangles with Parmesan cheese.
STEP 5: COOK
Cook the puff pastries in preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes.
