Stuffed chicken roll

Chicken is healthy but not always tasty because of its lightness. I suggest you to try this lovely recipe made of genuine ingredients and so savory with chicken, ham and cheese!

SERVES 2-3 PEOPLE
READY IN ’45

INGREDIENTS

1 chicken breast, beaten

salt and pepper to taste

4 slices ham

cheese to taste

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon onion, chopped

rosemary to taste

1/4 glass white wine, dry

2 cups hot water

salt to taste

STEP 1: FILLE THE CHICKEN

Beat the chicken breast until you get a “rectangle” (you can also slice it  and overlap the slices), add salt and pepper then cover it with ham and cheese.

Roll the chicken and close it with kitchen string. Sprinkle the cicken with all-purpose flour.

STEP 2: SAUTè

Place oli, onion and rosemary into the pan and let it sautè for about 1-2 minutes. Add the chicken roll and let it brown for a couple of minutes, then simmer with white wine until reduced.

STEP 3: COOK

Cook the chicken roll on low heat for about 30-40 minutes (covered with a lid) adding salt to taste.

A PIECE OF ADVICE: if on step 3 the chicken roll gets too dry, add more water.
