Mashed olives bread

I know, this isn’t perfection but tastes so good!

Actually, someone says that imperfections make us unique, isn’t so?

This time I make this maxim mine and take out a fluffy stuffed loaf: yummy!

This simple recipe (no sourdough or complicated bread folds) is ideal for everyone: great tasting and easy cooking!

MAKES 1 LOAF
READY IN 4h 15’ (4 h is resting time!)

INGREDIENTS

1 small piece yeast (about ½ oz)

1 cup lukewarm water

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

½ cup lukewarm milk

1 teaspoon sugar

3 cups all-purpose flour

3 teaspoons salt

all-purpose flout for the pastry board

olive patè

milk to taste

STEP 1: MIX WET INGREDIENTS

Place the yeast, the water, the oil and the milk in a bowl. Mix thoroughly.

Add the sugar and 1 cup all-purpose flour mixing with a fork, then the salt and the remaining flour.

STEP 2: KNEED BY HAND

Knead the dough until elastic.

Rest the dough for two hours (or much more!), covered with cling film.

STEP 3: SHAPE THE DOUGH

Roll the dough out into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface,

spread olive patè on it,

then roll it up.

Place the loaf into the bread pan lined with parchment paper, sprinkle the top with a little milk and let it rise for two hours

STEP 4: BAKE THE BREAD

Cook the bread for 30 minutes in preheated oven at 180°C.

A PIECE OF ADVICE: step 4: I usually store the dough in the fridge all night long to make it easier to digest!
