Grandma sausages

If I had to describe my grandma with food, I would tell you about her delicious sausages. She used to cook them on a woodstove in the hottes kitchen I’ve ever been in.

It’s a sweet memory about her and what I think she could do best.

 

SERVES 4 PEOPLE
READY IN 25’

 

INGREDIENTS

8 susages

water to taste

 

2 tablespoons oil

rosemary to taste

2 sage leaves

¼  glass red wine

 

1 cup tomato sauce

1 cup hot water

salt or vegetable stock powder to taste

 

 

STEP 1: DEGREASE THE SAUSAGES

Pierce the sausages with a fork, then put them in hot water for 5 minutes.

 

STEP 2: SAUTE’

Place oil, rosemary and sage in a pan and let them heat. Add sausages (drained) and let them brown for a couple of minutes. finnally simmer with wine until reduced.

 

STEP 3: ADD TOMATO & WATER

Add tomato sauce and hot water and mix . Cook for 15 minutes covered with a lid and finally add salt.

 

A PIECE OF ADVICE: To make the sauce thicker add 1/2 glass cold water + 1 teaspoon all-purpose flout to the pan and cook for 5 more minutes.
