A real gluttony, that you can make in advance, keep in fridge and cook at the last moment. I usally cook it for dinners with friends ‘cause it’s so practical for me and indispensabile for my guests (they could say “no” to a pie, but they never do it to this! :-). Here I decided to combine it with the delicious flavor of amaretto, do you know it? Yum!
SERVES 4 PEOPLE
READY IN 20’
INGREDIENTS
1 dark chocolate bar
3 oz butter
2 eggs
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Amaretto cookies to taste
2 tablespoons Amaretto liquor
Butter & cocoa powder to taste (for the molds)
amaretti cookies to taste for decoration
STEP 1: MELT THE CHOCOLATE
Place chocolate and butter in a non-stick pan and let melt in water bath.
STEP 2: MIX THE INGREDIENTS
In the meantime beat eggs and sugar with an electric beater. Then add – little by little – chocolate (when cold), all-purpose flour, vanilla extract and salt. Mix carefully.
STEP 3: FILL THE MOLDS
Brush 4 molds with melted butter, then sprinkle with cocoa powder (remove the surplus) +. Fill the molds with the mixture, then dip amaretto cookies into amaretto liquor and place one of them into each mold.
STEP 4: COOK
Cook the cakes in preheated oven at 200°C for about 12-13 minutes. When ready, overturn the little cakes and decore with amaretto cookies.
A PIECE OF ADVICE: The recipe is very easy, you only have to be careful with the cooking time! Little cakes must puff up and come off to the mold when ready.
