Apple and almond crumble pie

Apple pie (like all the other pies with fruits) it’s not so easy to make. Fruits in fact tends to wet the cake batter and sometimes the result could be wrong.

Fortunately I have the solution to get a soft cake and I really want you to try it! Do you trust me? It’s easy and so delicious!

 

SERVES 5-6 PEOPLE
READY IN 1h 10’

 

INGREDIENTS

2 apples

 

3 eggs

6 oz sugar

5 oz butter (room temperature)

4 oz potato starch

4 oz all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons milk

1 pinch salt

 

2 oz almond powder

2 oz all-purpose flour

2 oz sugar

2 oz butter (cold)

 

 

STEP 1: SLICE THE APPLES

Peel the apples ans slice them.

 

STEP 2: BEAT

Using a hand mixer beat eggs and sugar until smooth (it takes about 8-10 minutes).

Add the butter and  – little by little, potato starch, all-purpose flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, milk and salt (while beating).

 

STEP 3: MAKE THE CRUMBLE

Place into the blender bowl: almond powder, all-purpose flour, sugar and cubed butter and blend to get such a sand ( ab. 20-30 seconds).

 

 

STEP 4: PALCE INTO THE BAKING TIN

Place a parchment paper sheet into a baking tin and pour the mixture in it. Place apple slices on the top and finally sprinkle with the crumble.

 

 

STEP 5: COOK

Cook the cake in preheated oven at 175°C for 45-50 minutes (check the cooking time with a toothpick!).
