Fusilli pasta with red mullet sauce

Have you ever tried red mullet sauce? It’s extraordinary!!! Soft, light but very very tasty it’s ideal for kids and also glutton’s hunger. 

 

SERVES 4 PEOPLE
READY IN 25′

 

INGREDIENTS

1 teaspoon onion, chopped

4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

6- 8 red mullets (quite small)

 

White wine to taste

Parsley to taste

 

1 glass mashed tomatoes

Ab. 10 cherry tomatoes, sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

 

12 oz fusilli pasta

water and coarse salt to taste

 

 

STEP 1: SAUTè THE FISH

Remove the bone and the skin of the fish, then slice i tinto cubes.

Place onion and oil in a large pot and let them sautè. Add the fish and cook for 1 minute.

 

STEP 2: ADD WINE

Simmer with wine and add parsley.

 

STEP 3: ADD TOMATOES

Add mashed tomatoes and sliced cherry tomatoes. Cook for 5-8 minutes adding salt and pepper to taste.

   

 

COOK AND SERVE PASTA

In boiling salted water (the correct ratio provides 1 liter of water per pound of pasta and 12 g of salt per liter of water), cook pasta (fusilli pasta takes about 11 minutes).

Drain pasta and add it to the sauce pan.
