You know: how happy we are when we give a sweet treat to our children! What if I tell you that this time the prize is not only sweet but also healthy and natural?
Just a few minutes are enough to make classic fruit gummy candies at home, the ones that we all devoured as children and that we still slip into our pockets when no one is looking 🙂
It can be made of all tastes, this time I opted for something special: apples and ginger!
MAKES AB 25 candies
READY IN 15 ‘ (+ resting time)
INGREDIENTS:
3,5 oz apple and ginger juice
1,7 oz sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
0,4 oz gelatin sheets
water to taste
optional sugar
STEP 1: MAKE THE SYRUP
Pour the apple juice into a saucepan with sugar and lemon juice.
Cook the mixture stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved, then remove from the heat and let it cool.
STEP 2: SOAK THE GELATINE
Soak the gelatin sheets in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes.
STEP 3: COMBINE THE INGREDIENTS
Squeeze softened gelatin and dip it into the syrup, mix with a spoon to dissolve it (if necessary you can heat the syrup over low heat for just a couple of minutes).
STEP 4: POUR INTO THE MOLDS
Using a teaspoon, portion the liquid into a chocolate or candy mold (if you don’t have it, you can line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour the mixture there).
STEP 5: REST
Candies now just need to harden, put them in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.
If you want you can later sprinkle with sugar.
