Someone likes it, someone doesn’t… Halloween has become familiar even in Italy.
There are people that love wearing masks, other who want to distance themselves from it.
What about me? I want to take the opportunity to exorcise my great, very great fear and in addition any pretext is good for cooking!
So, I’m suggesting you a terrible Halloween stuffed pizza roll in the shape of a snake… I know it’s not scary (although I confess that I checked it on sight until it entered the oven for fear that it would come to life), but it will definitely feed you with its creamy filling and crunchy surface.

SERVES 4 people
READY IN 35′
INGREDIENTS:
1 pizza dough sheet (I used Stuffer)
3 tablespoons fresh cheese
1 tuna can
7-8 dried tomatoes
oregano to taste
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon cold water
1 pinch salt
pumpkin, sunflower, faxseed to taste
red bell pepper, carrot, cloves, celery leaves to decorate
STEP 1: FILL
Roll the pizza sheet out.
Spread fresh cheese on it,
and add tuna, dried tomatoes and oregano.
STEP 2: SHAPE THE SNAKE
Roll up the dough and press the ends (so the filling won’t come out during cooking),
do the same in the middle as you can see in the picture
Make it similar to a snake: make one end round to shape the face of the snake,
then create curves on the length slightly tapering the final part of the tail.
Brush the snake with egg yolk+water+salt
and add the seeds.
STEP 3: COOK
Cook the snake in preheated oven at 170-180°C for 30 minutes.
STEP 4: THE FINAL TOUCH
Cut a very narrow rectangle of red pepper, then use scissors to create the forked shape to make the snake’s tongue
Now skewer one end with a toothpick and fix it at the snake’s mouth.
To make the eyes I used two slices of lightly blanched carrot pierced by cloves.
I served the snake on a wooden cutting board resting it on some celery leaves!
